What I Want Right Now

One of my biggest passions is photography, besides all the other stuff I do. I'm not a professional, don't get me wrong, but i do think i have some talent in me,  just not the right tools with me! haha. At the moment I'm using Olympus, and I'm not very impressed. I does great macro pictures, but everything else sucks! And its a bit of an old model too. I got it when i was 17, and since then almost every week they have been launching even better and better models.(not only Olympus)
But since this is one of the hobbies I'm still into, i want to get even better, and this baby is going to help me!!! It's sad that I don't have the money yet to buy it, but as soon this Nikon is in my hands i would probably even start thinking of searching for a new, more artistic job! :P But for now i will continue with my crappy job and save up :P

Fruity Fact Of The Day | Pomegranates

As I was eating my pomegranate I started thinking about its history, and of course I quickly Googled it and found some very interesting facts about it, that I would like to share: This sweet fruit with its characteristic tart undertones is one of the oldest fruits in existence. The first records of this fruit date back to 100 B.C. where it's thought to be native to Persia. It was mentioned even in the book of Deuteronomy in the Old Testament of the Bible. (How about that!)

The ancient Egyptians believed the pomegranate to be a symbol of fertility and used it in a variety of food preparations. During the Middle Ages the ancient Romans used its rinds as a form of leather.

A pomegranate tree can grow up to 5 meters (fifteen feet) in height and may live for more than one hundred years. Once the pomegranate fruit is picked from the tree it stops ripening but will become more flavorful after being in storage.

Believe it or not, pomegranates are a rich source of a strong anti-oxidant class known as punicalagins which are thought to be responsible for the major health benefits of the juice. Punicalagins are though to broken down into ellagic acid, the potent anti-oxidant found in raspberries, cranberries, and strawberries which also have strong antioxidant activity.

And lastly did you know that there is more scientific research being done on the health benefits of pomegranate than almost any other fruit, due to its potential health benefits. So the moral of the story is- eat as much as you can pomegranates and enjoy their unique and delicious flavor!

P.S And don’t forget your napkins because they tend get very messy!! :D

Interesting fact of the day: High heels....

Did you know that high heels are believed to have been "invented" by a woman called Catherine de Medici- a 16th century Italian noblewoman, who was short in stature and wanted to make a bigger impression when she arrived in France to marry the future King Henry. Smart woman if i may add! ;) A fun fact about high heels, in this case Jimmy Choos, (presented to the world by the fabulous Carrie Bradshaw aka Sarah Jessica Parker), is that they have been referenced in songs by Hilary Duff, Shyne, Pitbull, Clipse, Sway, 50 Cent, and Chester French. How about that :D And also did you know, that despite all of the cutbacks during World War II, high heel shoes were in style. Designers created tall, uplifting heels using materials that weren’t rationed, like wood straw and snakeskin. All in the name of fashion and style!

Hope you liked today facts :P

Fashion A-list | Kim Kardashian - sexy and classy

Sex, classy dresses, heels to die for and picture perfect outfits are now becoming Kims' trade mark. Her make up is perfect every time and she knows how to work with colors (not without the help of her stylist and Mario and Troy - the make up artists).

Because we have similar body structures and even face tones I find it easy to get inspired and "
steal" some of looks. So go ahead and follow my advice - if you are curvy don't be shy, love your curves, work with them, not against them. Learn from the best.

Cute fact of the day | Squirrels

Carrie Bradshaw once said: "You can't be friends with a squirrel! A squirrel is just a rat with a cuter outfit!"
Well it seems a lot of us still find them to be too cute!
But besides the furry coat did you actually know that squirrels can jump a distance of up to 20 feet? Also they have 5 toes on their back feet and 4 toes on their front. Their front toes are very sharp and help in gripping tree bark for climbing. The word "squirrel" comes from the ancient Greek language and means "shadow tail".
