Updated Skin Care Routine | Shout out to my oily people!

For the past few months my skin was going crazy- dry patches here and there, very oily T-zone, and serious breakouts on my cheeks...(Just for information I have combination to oily skin). And of course, I made everything worse when I started picking every small thing that resembled a pimple...Total Nightmare...

I started cleaning my brushes every single night, cleaning my phone, cleaning my keyboard, washing my hands non-stop, unfortunately, nothing seemed to help...Then I read Bubblegarm's post "Out with the old..." and her Neutrogena review and I got seriously inspired. (Btw I love her heavy picture reviews and skin care posts. She is very informative and honest! Go check her out if you are still not following her!) So I threw out all the random stuff I have been using on my face. Some of the products I gave to my mom, others went straight into the bin. I even had to say goodbye to my oh so favorite Nivea creme...So sad...

This is just a small part of the things I said goodbye to...
(btw I'm playing around with my background. I'm trying to find better ways to picture products)

The next day I went out and bought some things from the Neutrogena Visibly clear skin care line- the Neutrogena oil free face wash, the Neutrogena Cleansing lotion and the Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer. I love them all! I'm planning on purchasing the Daily Scrub, the 2 in 1 Mask and Scrub, as well as the Oil-free makeup remover! They are that good! lol I especially love the moisturizer because it's nongreasy, oil free, it leaves my skin feeling refreshed and moisturized without being too heavy and my foundation just glides on.

Also thanks to a friend I got my hands on an antibiotic treatment that you use in the mornings and in the evenings for about a month, then you take a break for about 2/3 weeks (because as we all know our skin can get used to a certain product and it will stop working). It's called Zineryt and it's sold in drugstores only. I have no idea if they sell it worldwide, but if you get the chance try it out! It does dry out your skin a bit, but pimples just don't have a chance with this stuff! lol

What I use at the moment

As you can tell from the picture I still use my grape seed oil, but only when I feel my skin tight and dry.
Once a week I like doing a home "Spa treatment". I use my Garnier PureActive scrub with 2% Salicylic acid and an automatic face brush (not pictured) for a deeper cleansing. After that, i use either a home made mask or one that purchased.

After few weeks now I can definitely say that my skin is looking healthier, glowy and my scars are less visible. *yay* I experience fewer breakouts and even my pores look better! The only thing that is worrying is what will happen when I stop using the antibiotic treatment, but only time will show. I still think  I'll manage to handle the situation with the help of the Neutrogena products.

To summarize I'm so happy I finally found the perfect skin care line for my wacky and now maturing skin! lol, I really hope I can stick with my new skin regiment. I will keep you guys posted of course.

Hopefully, this was a helpful post for some of you.
I would love to know what you think about the Neutrogena Visibly clear line!
Also, what is your Skin Regiment?

Feel free to leave me a comment! :)

Have a lovely Saturday and remember to think only happy thoughts! :)

Приятен уикенд!

@Sarah you are absolutely right. hihih :))

@Nastia Мн съм доволна и от Зинерит-а и от Neutrogena. Кожата ми мн добре понася продуктите. Можеш да пробваш само с гела за измиване, аз за пръв път това ползвах и останах мн доволна! :)

I think I'll try Zineryt the next time I go to CVS. I definitely need to throw out a bunch of my old products too, thanks for the inspiration. Also, what we put (or don't put) into our bodies also effects our skin. I found that when I was addicted to soda, my skin was absolutely horrible. But when I was drinking mostly tea & water, I barely had breakouts. Anyhow, good post - you got a subscriber :-)

I'm currently using Aveeno at the moment and I have a habit of sticking to one brand for all my facial needs! What kind of home made masks do you do? Any tips? :-) xoxoxoo
